Job Description Summary

Dauch is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI.
This individual will work closely with Dauch's global procurement organization to support its role in budget and forecast development, sourcing decisions, supplier risk analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley self-testing, automated PO price updates related to market-based index changes, and verification of support required for PO updates.
The ideal candidate has a positive "can do" attitude and seeks to understand why things are done the way they are currently done and challenges the team to find improvement opportunities.

Job Description:

  • Monitors Dauch supplier’s financial condition and provides ongoing risk assessment analysis.

  • Assists in providing Dauch manufacturing locations with forecast guidance and actual performance vs. budget direction as it relates to direct material.

  • Assists in the development of Dauch's budget as it relates to raw material productivity.

  • Assists in providing management with scorecard on direct material procurement’s financial performance vs. budget.

  • Assists in holding procurement accountable to comply with policies and procedures as it relates to sourcing and price change management.

  • Supports sourcing decisions, by providing procurement with discounted cash flow comparison of potential sourcing options.

  • Assists with periodic Sarbanes-Oxley testing requirements.

  • Provides support related to our key projects including tariff reporting, PPV forecasting and improved functionality within our customer/supplier metal market automation functionality.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantitative Analytics, Data Science, or related field.

  • 0-3+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook. etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to transform processes requiring manual inputs and replacing them with automated processes.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel features such as VBA, Power Query or experience with R, Python, C++.
