Prepare capital forecasts, variance analyses, capital approval requisitions, ad hoc analysis of strategic opportunities, and engage in process improvement. Analyze and make recommendations on regulatory and general business strategy.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and develop Transmission capital requisitions for management approval. Ensure understanding and adherence to the policies, practices, standards, and procedures as required by corporation and Transmission.
  • Collaborate with regional project teams to ensure quality of process, documentation, and scope adherence.
  • Monitor capital investment for all authorization levels and ensure all revisions are submitted timely for approval.
  •  Perform monthly/quarterly variance reporting and analysis of budget vs. actual results and actual vs. prior year results for the primary purpose of improving future forecasts.
  • Perform reviews of Transmission financial reporting data to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop presentations to internal and external customers presenting Transmission financial data.

What We're Looking For:

Financial Analyst SG6

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, business administration or engineering.

Experience:

  • One or more years of work experience in the disciplines mentioned in the education requirement.

Financial Analyst Senior SG7

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, information technology, business administration or engineering.

Experience:

  • 4 or more years of work experience in the disciplines mentioned in the education requirement

In addition:

A successful candidate will exhibit the following qualities/skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft and Business Objects;

Skills Required
