Position Overview:

Freddie Mac’s Finance Division is currently seeking a Financial Accounting & Analysis Senior to support the monthly and quarterly financial results for the Multifamily Segment.  This position within the Multifamily Finance team will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and related financial disclosures for Multifamily’s Mortgage Portfolio.

We are responsible for providing timely and accurate financial results in compliance with GAAP and SEC Reporting guidelines.

Your Impact:

  • Prepare baseline journal entries and reconciliations for Multifamily’s Non-Performing Loans, Credit Losses, Loan Loss Reserves and Mortgage-Related Guarantees.
  • Support external 10-K and 10-Q SEC disclosures including the Statement of Cash Flows
  • Maintain internal segment portfolio analytics and other corporate results
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews with internal and external auditors and SOX testers
  • Facilitate technology changes in support of new and revised business requirements
  • Update control activities including revisions to SOX processes and critical data elements
  • Maintain system change management and governance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial accounting and analysis
  • Master’s degree in accounting and/or CPA certification
  • Proven understanding of GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements
  • Relevant primary or secondary mortgage market experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Workday General Ledger Systems

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $96,000 - $144,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
