Recovery Specialist, Auto Collections

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Recovery Specialist responsible for the collection of delinquent auto loan accounts that are or are about to be assigned for repossession. Utilizes telephone, automated dialer, and written correspondence in a fast-paced goal-oriented collections department. Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts. Responsible for skip tracing to locate accounts that are assigned for repossession.

What You’ll Do:

• Confers with customers by telephone in an attempt to collect current and past due payments, determines the reason for delinquency, and updates customer information.
• Confirms account holder by following safeguards procedures on every call.
• Adheres to collection standards of conduct policy on all accounts including third parties.
• Adheres to all federal and state collections laws
• Utilizes collection skip tools to locate accounts leading to resolution.
• Recommend accounts for repossession or legal action.
• Maintains delinquent rates at or below objectives.
• Meet daily and weekly production goals (Calls, repossessions, and dollars collected)
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• All other duties assigned.

• 2+ years of experience in skip tracing within an auto finance environment
• Familiar with repossession and skip tracing laws
