Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Finance Services Analyst who will provide proactive support to the Finance Services (FS) team, completing accounts/accounting tasks as required. This role will also deliver services to ensure compliance with all company policies, internal controls and procedures.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support FS function by undertaking the duties assigned as outlined in the Finance Services duty statements
- Ensure compliance with all GHD Finance policies and procedures
- Provide continuous feedback to the Manager/Team Leader, including matters relating to compliance with company policies and procedures
- Facilitate a cooperative and knowledge sharing environment within team and other operating centers
- Support Manager/Team Leader with reporting and analysis as required, within advised deadlines
- Assist Team Leader in on-boarding new hires as required
- Assist team members and employees with queries and escalate as necessary
- Support Team Leader in reviewing aging in-progress items pending resolution by team members and in reviewing, analyzing and resolving aging balance sheet line items
- Assist in preparing financial reports and prepare schedules and reports for external auditors
- Analysing and interpreting financial data to identify trends in account movements
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or any Finance-related course
- Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in an accounting shared services environment with intermediate to advance ERP systems skills (SAP, Oracle, etc)
- Experience in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel & expense accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, master data management, and basic to intermediate understanding of Accounting and Finance processes
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate and explain regulations, policies, processes and guidelines in plain English
- Strong attention to detail and proficient in collating, organizing and analysing data to interpret financial data
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities and problem-solving
Excellent coordination skills with understanding of when to escalate issues
Work schedule: Monday to Friday / 7:00 am to 4:00 pm OR 5:00 pm to 2:00 am/ Hybrid (3x a week onsite)
