Finance Process Owner

About the Role

Global Blue is looking for an experienced Finance and Accounting professional to join the Group Finance team. Your role will be to ensure that global Finance and Business applications are continuously optimized and aligned with the overall Finance objectives.

In this position, you are an important link between the Finance, Product, and IT world, to which you bring your personality as well as your business and technical know-how. To succeed in this role you will need good analytical skills as well as strong communication and diplomacy skills, as it is focused on influencing decisions through advice and counsel.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process set-up, end-to-end cycles and a background in accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning Global Finance processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring smooth integration.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes “as-is” processes and partners with business to identify process improvement ideas and drive the execution of transformation initiatives

• Lead aspects of the design, technical specifications, deployment, and management of technologically driven processes globally, ensuring successful process implementation through the project lifecycle

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation on all phases of processes, including policies, procedures, work instructions, test script, process flow maps, and specifications

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and troubleshooting for deployed processes

• Support change management activities, supporting business functions

• Build and sustain strong relationships, provide persuasive communication, and advocate for the function

• Knowledge of, and experience with change management and project management

• Advanced understanding of financial and business processes and the risks surrounding those processes

Education & Experience

• Degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent professional experience

• Proven experience of leading global process design, implementation and project management

• Leader in the area of Finance processes

• Strong communication skills in English

• Experience in the Financial Services or Technology industry, helpful, but not required
