We are looking for Financial Controller to join our team in Skopje.

Quipu is the dedicated IT company of the ProCredit group and provides comprehensive end-to-end solutions for all ProCredit institutions, as well as for other banks and financial institutions This includes everything from electronic payment services to software systems, hybrid cloud hosting, and a host of other operations.

As a Financial Controller, you will take full responsibility for a broad range of finance and controlling functions. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong analytical skills, a business-oriented mindset, and the initiative to implement and optimize financial processes across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all general financial controlling activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process integrity.

  • Perform detailed incoming invoice checks, validating them against existing contracts and purchase agreements.

  • Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

  • Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

  • Supervise and maintain contract management, ensuring financial compliance with contractual obligations.

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent internal financial reporting to the German HQ.

Strategic & Process Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and implement financial controlling processes and internal controls.

  • Design and roll out profitability analysis frameworks to support informed decision-making across services and clients.

  • Monitor and drive cost control and budget discipline across departments.

  • Support and participate in budgeting and forecasting processes in alignment with group finance.

  • Provide financial insights to management, supporting data-driven business decisions.

System & Operational Tasks

  • Operate within and improve the company’s ERP systems – experience with DATEV (preferred).

  • Support the implementation of new finance tools and digitalization initiatives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, legal, operations, and other departments.

  • Ensure compliance with local laws and financial reporting standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, ideally in an international and/or IT-focused company.

  • Strong experience with invoice validation, contract compliance, and month-end closing processes.

  • Advanced understanding of controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems – DATEV knowledge is a significant plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and solution-oriented thinking.

  • Business-minded approach with an understanding of cost structures, profitability, and interdepartmental dependencies.

  • Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional international team.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus.
