Role Overview
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Operations Intern to join our team in Kathmandu. This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. You'll work closely with our Finance Controller, with a primary focus on U.S. revenue accounting operations.
This role is perfect for a student or recent graduate who is eager to learn and make a real impact. You'll be a key part of our finance team, helping to ensure financial accuracy and compliance while supporting daily financial operations. Your work will directly contribute to building scalable and automated financial processes.
What You'll Do
- Support Financial Operations: Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functions.
- Contribute to Revenue Accounting: Help with billing and collections processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
- Assist with Compliance: Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and help with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with various teams to gather data and provide financial analysis that supports business decisions.
- Automate Processes: Look for opportunities to streamline and automate financial tasks to improve efficiency.
Who You Are
- You are a student or recent undergraduate in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- You have a basic understanding of accounting principles (familiarity with U.S. GAAP or IFRS is a plus).
- You are highly analytical with strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- You have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bonus: Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks or NetSuite, or a background in the insurance or SaaS industry.
