The Divisional Finance organization at Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) provides business support and partnership for all finance related matters for their group(s), primarily ensuring that strong financial discipline and analysis is in place to support the decision making across each division and SPE towards achieving its goals and objectives.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in the Philippines.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, in this role you will support financial planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision making across corporate operations, including facilities and related capital initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will have hands-on experience and a strong track record of financial reporting and analysis, process improvement, interaction with senior operational and financial management, and excellent critical thinking, analytical, collaboration, presentation, & communication skills.
What you’ll do
Build financial models and templates that enable deeper financial analyses to influence executive decision making
Support the development of P&L global annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly results analysis at the departmental and divisional level. Includes operating and capital expenses
Develop the annual rent allocation budget for SPE’s owned and leased properties. Own the monthly chargeback process and related adjustments or requests for detailed analysis
Analyse monthly results variances and prepare narratives around the key drivers of difference
Prepare report packages with supporting details for department leads, executives, and corporate submissions
Provide financial analysis to business and finance leads to enable timely decision making (e.g. cost/benefit analysis, what-if scenarios)
Support the assessment and optimization of key processes around financial planning, management reporting, capital projects governance, and results analysis
What you need
Bachelors degree in Finance
At least 4 years relevant work experience in real estate, entertainment, or technology companies, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
Experience leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and month-end financial analysis processes
Experience in building financial models and templates
Experience partnering with business leaders to support planning, forecasting, and strategic decision making
Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint
Good understanding of Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
Good understanding of IFRS
Experience with enterprise planning systems (e.g. SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and business intelligence tools (e.g. SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau, Essbase, etc.)
Self-starter with strong (proactive) communication and prioritization skills
Ability to communicate financial concepts across all levels of the organization
Skilled at data visualization, creating impactful presentation & deliverables
Experience presenting financial analyses and recommendations to management
Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred qualifications and experience
Familiarity with leveraging AI to drive process automation and improvement
Experience or familiarity with real estate finance
Prior consolidation experience
Experience or familiarity with project management concepts and tools

This role requires working a permanent night shift to support U.S. business hours (12am to 9am Manila time). Candidates must be comfortable and able to work this schedule on an ongoing basis.
