  • Are you passionate about influencing Microsoft's financial performance and strategic direction? Join the Revenue and Gross Margin team within the Central Finance Team (CFT), a strategic finance partner that delivers insights to CFOs, Senior Leadership, Investor Relations, engineering, and sales finance teams.
  • This role supports Microsoft's Server Licensing and Cloud Infrastructure business, providing financial insights and analysis that inform Senior Leadership, investor, and Board discussions. You will partner with engineering finance and accounting and business leaders to assess performance, understand demand trends, and identify growth opportunities.
  • As a Finance Manager, Revenue & Gross Margin, you will translate complex analytics into executive insights, lead forecasting and financial modeling, and help shape investment decisions across Microsoft's Server licensing business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly close, forecasting, and financial performance analysis. 
  • Develop executive-ready reporting, commentary, and business insights on key growth drivers, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Partner across finance, accounting, engineering, and business teams to ensure alignment on financial results and reporting. 
  • Own KPI, revenue, and business trend analysis to support decision-making and leadership reviews. 
  • Drive financial governance, reporting accuracy, and process improvements. 
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Finance, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence across organizations and manage complex cross-functional partnerships.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including executive storytelling.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and drive results through others. 


Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,800 - $153,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $102,200 - $169,900 per year.
