Role and Responsibilities
How you make a difference
As a Finance Controller at Samsung, you’ll be working at the heart of our financial operations. This is a dynamic position with direct exposure to senior leadership, as you’ll prepare key financial reports for the CEO and COO while managing sensitive data. Working with multiple high-level stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring seamless financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning & Forecasting (30-40%):
Contribute to yearly and target planning by identifying potential challenges (e.g., manufacturing shortages) and collaborating with the Sales Division to develop robust, actionable plans. Your input will directly support on-time, informed decisions at the executive level. - Monthly Closing (20%):
Handle cost allocation (CO closing) in SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in collaboration with the accounting team and Business Controllers. Your work will help maintain smooth financial processes that senior management relies on. - Variance Analysis & Reporting (30-20%):
Prepare critical financial reports and insights for management, including the CEO and COO. You’ll also manage and update databases for internal stakeholders, making you a key player in keeping the business aligned with financial goals. - ERP System Management (10%):
Maintain and update CO master data, such as PA cycles and cost centers, ensuring compliance with company policies and smooth system functionality. - Budget Management (10%):
Guide stakeholders on budget usage and provide updates on financial status to ensure alignment across the organization.
Your team
As a Financial Controller, you’ll be part of a dynamic team of 5 (one team leader and four members) and you will report to the Finance Controlling Manager. This high-energy role requires you to excel under pressure, deliver results with speed and precision, and work closely with your team to achieve success.

You communicate effectively, coordinate seamlessly, and thrive under pressure. Your ability to switch between tasks and work as a true team player makes you an indispensable asset.
We also request:
- A completed HBO or WO master's degree in the direction of finance, accounting, business administration or a similar direction.
- Minimal 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role (financial background).
- A good command of the Dutch and English language at a professional level.
- Skilled in using MS Office (Excel) and BI tools
- Knowledge of the Korean language (speaking, reading and writing) is considered a plus.
