Leidos is looking for an experienced Finance and Business Operations Senior Manager to lead financial strategy, execution, and business operations across a complex portfolio within the National Solutions Business Area. This role serves as a key member of the division leadership team, partnering closely with program leadership, operations, and corporate functions to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), program finance, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, while leading a team of finance professionals supporting a diverse set of programs and customers. We are looking for a strong leader who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure disciplined financial management in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning for the division
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to division leadership to drive growth, margin expansion, and risk mitigation
- Support business development activities including pricing strategy, bid reviews, business case development and investment decisions
- Program Financial Management
- Oversee financial performance across a portfolio of programs, ensuring accuracy in revenue, cost, and profit forecasting
- Drive consistency and rigor in program reviews, variance analysis, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes
- Partner with program managers to improve financial outcomes and operational efficiency
- Business Operations Oversight
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, government regulations, and contractual requirements
- Lead initiatives to improve financial processes, tools, and reporting capabilities
- Support audits (internal and external) and ensure readiness across programs
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of F&BO professionals across multiple programs
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to division leadership, including VPs and Program Directors
- Collaborate with corporate finance, accounting, contracts, procurement, and HR functions
- Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities clearly to senior leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience; or 6+ years of prior relevant experience with a related Master’s degree
- 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams and projects
- Strong experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis in a government contracting environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive business outcomes
- Experience supporting a portfolio of government programs, including cost-type, T&M, and fixed-price contracts
- U.S. Citizenship required and able to obtain TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance or higher
- Knowledge of Leidos financial systems such as: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, Oracle Analytics Clous (OAC) and Insight
- Demonstrated experience automating financial processes using tools such as advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, RPA Platforms or ERP workflows
