Finance BI Analyst

MISSION

We are hiring a Business Intelligence team member to support the Alegeus focus on data transparency, insights and storytelling. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in empowering leaders with data and related intelligence. The Business Analyst should have a strong expertise in key systems such as SQL and Power BI which will be instrumental in optimizing data sharing and investigation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with data owners across functions to establish best practices and ensure data consistency and validity. 

• Lead the vision, development, and implementation of self-service reports in Power BI. 

• Provide key stakeholders with weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs and historical data, delivering valuable takeaways with each report. 

• Consistently monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for deeper analysis and share relevant findings. 

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of large and complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights. 

• Clearly present and explain the story behind the data to the financial leadership team and other business leaders, improving their understanding of the business. 

• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, including automation of reports, detailed investigations, and new analytical collaborations. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Hard Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role. 

• BA/BS in a quantitative field including statistics, finance, analytics, or computer science. 

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.

• Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization software. 

Soft Skills 

• A thoughtful problem solver who can dive into open-ended questions. 

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present data driven stories to diverse audiences. 

• Proven experience and passion for leveraging data to drive business impact. 

• Ability to derive insights from large datasets and present findings to cross-functional audiences.
