The FP&A Analyst supports C&A Asia business performance through reliable planning, management reporting, financial and commercial analysis, and disciplined data management. Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

1. Forecasting, Budgeting & Planning

  • Build and maintain forecast, budget and planning models for the supported businesses and markets.
  • Coordinate inputs, consolidate assumptions and maintain clear version control and planning calendars.
  • Track forecast actions, risks and opportunities; escalate material gaps or inconsistencies promptly.
  • Support target setting and prepare the analytical evidence required for review and sign-off by the C&A Asia FP&A Lead.

2. Performance Review & Management Reporting

  • Prepare accurate, timely management reporting packs and recurring business-performance outputs.
  • Analyze actual results against forecast, budget and prior periods; identify key volume, price, mix, cost and margin drivers.
  • Draft concise performance commentary that links financial outcomes to strategic objectives, business causes and required actions.
  • Maintain action logs and follow up with stakeholders on agreed deliverables.

3. Margin, Pricing & Profitability Analysis

  • Perform sales, gross-margin, pricing, mix, customer, product and market profitability analysis.
  • Identify trends, outliers and leakage; quantify their financial impact and support corrective-action discussions.
  • Provide consistent analytical views across Greater China and Southeast Asia using agreed definitions and methodology.
  • Support, identify and correct customer, product and market segmentation used to drive sales and profitability analyses

4. Scenario Analysis & Decision Support

  • Build scenarios and sensitivities for commercial opportunities, risks and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Quantify financial impacts, document assumptions and clearly communicate model limitations.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requested by the C&A Asia FP&A Lead and relevant business stakeholders.

5. FP&A Data & Reporting Governance

  • Maintain FP&A data sets, reporting files and financial models with appropriate controls and documentation.
  • Define finance reporting requirements and validate the financial logic and content of dashboards used by FP&A.
  • Use approved dashboards and analytical tools to support performance analysis; contribute finance requirements and user testing when enhancements are developed.

6. Process Improvement & Controls

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate recurring planning and reporting processes.
  • Maintain process documentation, templates and control checks for critical analytical outputs.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data Analytics or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong financial-analysis capability, including variance analysis, profitability analysis and scenario modelling
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, consolidation or planning systems is preferred.
  • Ability to use dashboards and visualization tools (for example, Power BI) to analyze business performance; dashboard development or administration experience is not required.
  • Ability to work with large or imperfect data sets, reconcile sources and establish reliable analytical definitions.
  • Clear written and verbal English.

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, management reporting, planning, accounting or a related finance role.

  • Direct FP&A experience is advantageous but not essential where the candidate demonstrates strong financial fundamentals, analytical discipline and learning agility.

  • Experience supporting multiple markets, business units or cross-functional stakeholders is preferred.
