Support program managers with budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, earned value analysis, contract/pricing review, cost/schedule baselines, variance analysis, and project cost control using ERP tools (Unanet) and Excel.

Expertise and Functions

  • Provide guidance to program managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is produced
  • Initiate, monitor and maintain proper project setup in Unanet
  • Budgeting and financial analysis
  • Develop project cost/schedule baselines and budgets
  • Monitor project actuals and resolve issues
  • Monitor outstanding project commitments (e.g., travel, subcontracts)
  • Develop monthly project financial forecasts/EACs and conduct variance analysis
  • Monitor the project’s burn rate against funding remaining
  • Analyze project reports to identify and resolve issues
  • Document and support monthly program reviews
  • Complete earned value calculations and analysis for projects
  • Evaluate work in progress to determine appropriate accrual values
  • Contracts / Pricing:
    • Review and analyze contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure project meets financial and reporting requirements
    • Assist with pricing and historical data collection
    • Provide analysis for forward-looking financials and business-related projects
    • Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, and other related areas
    • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree desired   
  • Government contracting experience preferred
  • Cost and financial analysis experience preferred
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Creative in the ability to process improve and automate
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with ERP systems
  • Hands-on experience assembling analytical tools for operations
  • Strong knowledge of Excel  

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience  in management and program oversight
  • Experience in Earned Value Management preferred
  • Experience with Unanet preferred
  • Knowledge in Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint preferred 

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
