Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a Finance & Accounting Analyst to support global finance operations across Record-to-Report activities, operational accounting, reconciliations, journal entry support, financial reporting, compliance, and audit support.
This role sits within Global Finance Operations, a team focused on delivering accurate, timely, and reliable financial information while supporting process improvement, standardisation, automation, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
The Analyst will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Global Finance Operations, and external service provider teams to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, reporting tasks, issue resolution, and compliance with established finance policies and controls.

What you'll do:
Month-End Close and Reporting Support
- Support operational accounting activities across assigned business areas, entities, and finance processes.
- Prepare assigned Record-to-Report deliverables, including reconciliations, journal entry support, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Support financial reporting activities and operational accounting tasks.
- Help investigate reporting issues, variances, and discrepancies.
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and in line with close timelines.
Transactional Execution and Compliance
- Perform assigned accounting and finance operations activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support compliance with finance policies, operational standards, and control requirements.
- Assist with audit requests by preparing documentation and supporting materials.
- Monitor assigned activities for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and process exceptions.
- Escalate risks, delays, or issues to senior team members or managers as appropriate.
- Support adherence to established processes, controls, and service delivery expectations.
Process Improvement and Automation Support
- Participate in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Support the documentation of processes, procedures, and operational requirements.
- Help identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and operational risks.
- Assist with the implementation of process enhancements and operational changes.
- Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement efforts across finance operations.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Global Finance Operations, business stakeholders, and external service provider teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams and regions to support consistent and effective service delivery.
- Provide reporting, analysis, and operational support to senior analysts, managers, and leadership teams.
- Build strong working relationships and support clear communication across internal and external teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, RTR, finance operations, or a similar role.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced English communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Experience in a multinational, SSC, or BPO environment.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives.
