Job Title:
Senior Software Engineer - Entitlement Management System (EMS)
About us:
Accuris was formed in May 2023 through the combination of S&P Engineering Solutions (formerly part of IHS Markit) and Techstreet, bringing together over six decades of leadership in engineering standards, technical content, and workflow technology. Accuris transforms the world's largest repository of standards and supply chain data into AI-driven insights and connected workflows - enabling engineers to work smarter, stay compliant, and innovate faster.
The Team:
The Entitlement Management System (EMS) team builds core platform services that enable products and teams across Accuris. The team owns shared capabilities including user and license management, role-based and policy-based access control, authorization and authentication, and web-based administration tools for both customers and internal users.
EMS services support high-load processing, with some services handling approximately 3 million transactions per day while maintaining high performance targets around 200 ms response times. The team values secure, scalable engineering, strong ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the full technology stack.
The Impact:
As a Senior Software Engineer on the EMS team, you will design and develop new features and enhancements across the full technology stack, with a strong emphasis on usability, performance, scalability, and security. Your work will strengthen the shared platform capabilities used across the company and help product teams deliver reliable customer experiences faster.
You will own complex components end-to-end, contribute to architecture and design decisions, and help translate business requirements into reliable, cloud-native solutions running in AWS. The role has direct impact on customers and internal teams by enabling secure access, efficient administration, and dependable entitlement workflows at scale.

- Design and develop cloud-native applications and services using the Microsoft .NET stack on AWS, with a focus on ease of use, performance, scalability, and security.
- Own complex components end-to-end, from requirements refinement and technical design through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Contribute to architecture, framework, and service design decisions, proposing improvements aligned with project goals, constraints, and platform standards.
- Build and maintain automated tests, quality gates, CI/CD practices, and code review standards to ensure high-quality, maintainable delivery.
- Support containerized and orchestrated deployments using Docker and Kubernetes, and contribute to reliable production operations through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate closely with developers, IT, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile Scrum ceremonies, while mentoring mid-level engineers and sharing best practices.
