Job Description

The Finance Application Specialist is responsible for the operational support, stability, and continuous improvement of finance applications within Global Business Services (GBS). The role operates within an international environment, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key link between business and IT for applications supporting Global Transactional Finance (GTF) processes
  • Ensure finance applications are stable, maintained, up to date, and available with minimal downtime
  • Monitor system performance, manage incidents and problems, and coordinate system changes
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions in collaboration with the lead architect
  • Oversee day‑to‑day error monitoring and issue resolution
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within transactional finance systems, including automation and optimization
  • Stay up to date with latest technology developments and apply them to improve system performance and usability

For this role as a Center of Excellence Application Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Strong knowledge of transactional finance processes, with the ability to effectively support and optimize the technical setup of related systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Several years of experience in a similar application support, finance systems, or CoE role
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to explain technical topics in a clear and structured way
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Solution‑ and goal‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
