Manage plant product and manufacturing cost accounting, including BOM validation, standard costing, variance analysis, monthly cost sheets, MIS reporting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory valuation, reconciliations, and financial closures. Partner with production, procurement, and engineering teams on cost optimization and control initiatives while ensuring accounting, internal control, and audit compliance.

Responsibilities
- Handle product costing including BOM validation, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs (material, labor, overheads)
- Prepare and review monthly cost sheets and MIS reports
- Conduct cost variance analysis and highlight key deviations with actionable insights
- Support in budgeting and forecasting activities for plant operations
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation with accounts
- Work closely with production, procurement, and engineering teams for cost optimization
- Drive cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Assist in financial closures (monthly/quarterly/yearly) related to plant costing
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting & manufacturing accounting
- Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems (preferably SAP CO module)
- Advanced skills in MS Excel & data analysis
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Qualification: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
- Experience: 4+ years in manufacturing industry, preferably in costing
