Description
This role drives the career awareness & mentoring initiative of Bright Future called ‘Step to Livelihood - Buniyaad’. The purpose of this role is to work with the youths in the age group of 14 to 25 years (called as aspirants) and build their awareness of career . The Facilitator will be leading administration, scoring and interpretation of Bright Future’s.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops and sessions on designing a career path & provide 1:1 counseling.
- Discussing career-related aspirations, concerns, and uncertainties throughout the consultation process.
- Assist the Social Worker in mobilization of youth for the ‘Step to Livelihood - Buniyaad’ programme.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in the stakeholder engagement activities planned at the center (led by Social Worker/Project In-charge) to ensure participation of stakeholders in programme.
- Lesson Planning and Facilitation for career readiness sessions which are a part of the ‘Step to Livelihood - Buniyaad’ programme.
- Conducting career interest tests, analyzing the scores and preparing career interest test reports.
- Maintain documentation on the program to be inputs into the monitoring and evaluation system.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Education, Social Work, or a similar field can lead to a Post-Graduate Diploma or equivalent course in Counselling/Mental Health/Career.
- Master's degree in Counselling/Mental Health/Career Counselling.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in career counseling with facilitation experience as well as on field exposure.
Required Knowledge
- Child Rights and Protection laws and guidelines.
- Healthy communication and conflict resolution methods / best practices.
- About challenges faced by youth of the nearby community and applicable solutions/ interventions.
- Familiarity with job opportunities in market and updated with changing trends.
- Working knowledge of counseling models, methods, and resource.
Required Skills
- Planning and facilitating training sessions.
- Good Written and Oral Communication in English and Ability to communicate well in Hindi/Marathi.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using platforms such as Google classroom, Microsoft office (PowerPoint, excel and word).
- Situation and Conflict Resolution (Assertiveness).
- Active Listening and Keen Observation.
- Research skills (especially in the assigned domain)

Skills Required
