Title of the Position: External Supply Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Position Type: Managerial
• Location: Mexico City (Flexible location within Mexico, with frequent travel to supplier sites)
• Work Hours: Standard hours with a hybrid work model; office days and supplier visits
• Profile:
Strong technical background in manufacturing operations with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Should have knowledge in equipment maintenance, capacity planning, operational metrics, and supplier management. Degrees in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related technical fields are preferred.

• Job Overview:
This managerial role focuses on supporting and leading manufacturing operations with external suppliers in Mexico. You will oversee key areas such as capacity optimization, equipment maintenance, and loss reduction, ensuring timely and quality delivery of orders. The position requires frequent interaction and travel to supplier sites in Mexico City to strengthen relationships, understand their supply chains, and identify improvement opportunities. You will also coordinate cross-functional projects related to materials, audits, and payment governance to maintain operational continuity and compliance.
Job Qualifications
• Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operational engagement with external suppliers to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of orders according to planning parameters
Identify and analyze operational inefficiencies, losses, and equipment performance issues; propose and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with suppliers on technical discussions about manufacturing metrics such as throughput, reliability, and capacity enhancements
Coordinate and lead cross-functional projects including material changes, supplier audits, and quality action plans
Maintain governance over supplier payment processes ensuring timely and accurate execution with required documentation
Support quality and stewardship teams during supplier audits and follow-up on corrective action plans
• Hard Skills:
Experience in manufacturing operations
Technical knowledge of equipment maintenance, capacity planning, and operational metrics
Supplier and contract manufacturing management
Project management skills for cross-functional initiatives
Familiarity with quality audit processes and payment governance
