The role / impact
As a Senior Product Manager in the Security team, you will lead the evolution of Xero’s network security tools and services. You will take accountability for the commercial success of your products, ensuring that the solutions your team creates are not only robust but also easy for internal teams to use, ultimately enhancing security across the entire platform.
Your work will directly influence the safety and stability of our network borders and internal systems. By researching emerging security trends and addressing internal pain points, you will create roadmaps that deliver high-impact tools, ensuring Xero’s infrastructure remains secure while supporting the needs of our global customer base.
The team / how they connect
You will work alongside two dedicated engineering teams, Secure Corporate Networks and Edge Security, who focus on maintaining stable and secure internal and border environments. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to partner with cross-functional peers to align technical delivery with our broader divisional objectives.
The team is currently working on / Initially, you will focus on
Managing and evolving tools such as Web Application Firewalls, Content Delivery Networks, and Virtual Private Networks.
Implementing and refining Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and proxy technologies to protect our network.
Defining the product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with engineering to ensure internal partners have the right tools at the right time.
Mentoring and coaching team members to support their growth while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

You bring a solid understanding of agile processes and have successfully navigated software development environments.
Your background includes a deep interest or experience in networking and cyber security, which helps you tackle complex technical products.
You have a proven ability to influence outcomes across various levels and collaborate with diverse groups to achieve commercial goals.
Shaping long-term product roadmaps is something you have done before, particularly for complex or multifaceted products.
You possess a natural inclination for supporting others through mentoring and coaching.
An innovative approach to technology allows you to address customer needs effectively and creatively.
