The Role

We are seeking a communications professional to help drive media relations and external communications strategies that support the firm’s commercial priorities across private markets, equity and fixed income, and enhance Neuberger’s reputation.

This role sits within the External Communications team and focuses on the development and day-to-day execution of proactive media strategies to drive client outcomes. The Vice President of External Communications will work closely with the Head of External Communications to plan and deliver media campaigns and support spokespeople to consistent, high quality external messaging, that positions Neuberger as the investment partner of choice across global intermediary, institutional and private wealth client segments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute media plans for key business priorities across private and public markets, product launches, and multi-channel campaigns.

  • Draft and edit press releases, media statements, Q&As, key messages, and briefing materials.

  • Implement media engagement strategies and identify opportunities for interviews, commentary and thought leadership.

  • Build and manage relationships with relevant business, financial, trade, and national journalists.

  • Handle and coordinate responses to media enquiries, escalating sensitive issues appropriately.

  • Support communications around sensitive issues and potential crises

  • Track, analyze and report media coverage and key metrics; manage PR agencies day-to-day.

  • Collaborate with internal partners and leaders across investment, distribution, marketing, and digital to drive positive outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years’ experience in media relations or corporate communications, ideally in asset management, investment management or financial services.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with proven experience drafting core media materials.

  • Good understanding of financial markets and ability to translate complex topics into clear messages.

  • Experience engaging with journalists and managing day-to-day media enquiries.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively with senior stakeholders.

  • A team player, highly organized, proactive, collaborative, with sound judgement and discretion in a fast-moving, news-driven environment.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $140,000-$160,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
