CIMIC Group is seeking a Senior Manager Planning to join its Risk, Commercial and PreContracts team. This role provides strategic leadership, governance and technical expertise for planning activities across major bids and tenders, ensuring robust, accurate and risk-informed tender programmes are developed to support successful bid outcomes and effective project delivery.
About the Role
This role reports to the Head of Pre-Contracts & Risk and key responsibilities include:
Lead and oversee the development of robust, accurate and achievable tender programmes.
Ensure bid programmes fully reflect scope, methodology and delivery constraints
Identify key programme risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are developed
Undertake and/or oversee Schedule Reliability Analysis to assess programme maturity and confidence levels
Provide expert planning advice and support to bid teams across all major tenders
Provide functional leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to bid-level planners
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including bid teams, legal and OpCo senior leadership

About You – Qualifications & Experience
To be successful, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
- Relevant planning or project controls certifications (desirable)
- Extensive experience in construction planning and programming on major projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery risks
- Significant experience in tender planning and development of complex project schedules
- Demonstrated leadership skills
