About The Job
This role will be based in The Ascent, PJ.
As the Export Control & Trade Compliance Super User, your primary responsibility is to ensure governance and Compliance to Alfa Laval’s Export Control policies and directives, applicable export control laws, procedures, trade sanctions, and regulatory requirements, enabling the company to conduct trade in a compliant and profitable manner.
You would act as the 1st line of defense for the organization in assessing, detecting and accordingly ensuring that all its orders external or internal, are compliant and efficient.
Job Description
Discuss Export Control Screening of various entities like (people, product, companies, vessels, and organizations) before or while Alfa Laval is dealing with them and archive the results for safe and easy retrieval.
Mandatorily screening customer before registering them in customer master during quotation or order booking process.
Use the systems like MIRS and World check One tool to perform the screening, and in case of any perceived risk immediately highlight the case to the Alfa Laval colleague dealing with the case and ensure necessary actions are taken before proceeding further and also as the case may require ensure the order contracts safeguards Alfa Laval’s interest from Export control compliance perspectives.
Be in constant connect with Global Export control team and maintain updated lists of Designated countries with details of Listed/ Critical/ Countries of concern and classifications of Items (dual-use) and the necessary and sufficient due-diligence procedure. and keep all the stakeholders pro-actively aware.
In case where required connect with central team to fetch Risk Compliance Bureau reports for suspected entities.
Training Sales/Inside Sales team and related stakeholders on the Export Control procedure
Release the export control clear customers in OneCRM and ERP for daily operation
Advisory activity on LC and BG
Optimize trade benefit schemes, duty and tax saving programs, working knowledge on Letter of Undertaking
Provide custom and regulatory documentation advisory for complex shipments
In-depth knowledge of customs procedure across ASEAN countries and working knowledge about best use of incoterms
What You Know
Degree/master’s degree in international business or certification in related field.
Minimum 5 years of total working experience majorly performing Export control and trade compliance like roles.
Able to manage pressure situations professionally without compromising on independence to act the right way.
High level of risk awareness and Judgement.
Able to build strong relationshisp with stakeholders and Influence stakeholder to the right way without having direct authority on them.

Skills Required
