Purpose:
To design and govern complex enterprise integration solutions, ensuring secure, scalable, reliable, and efficient connectivity between applications, platforms, partners, and external services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as senior technical authority for enterprise integration across the technology estate.
- Design complex integration architectures, APIs, interfaces, and messaging solutions.
- Define integration standards, patterns, protocols, and engineering practices.
- Lead technical implementation of critical system integrations with partners, schemes, and internal platforms.
- Design synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and API-based integration solutions.
- Build and govern integrations on the enterprise integration stack (IBM ACE/API Connect, MQ, Kafka).
- Own API lifecycle management, including versioning, gateway policies, and consumer onboarding.
- Ensure integrations meet security, performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
- Apply security controls for partner connectivity, including mTLS, certificate management, encryption, and secure key handling.
- Ensure integrations satisfy regulatory, audit, and change-governance requirements.
- Review integration designs and implementations for architectural compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex integration and production issues across system boundaries.
- Optimize integration performance, reliability, monitoring, error handling, and reconciliation.
- Identify integration risks, dependencies, and technical debt, and recommend improvements.
- Mentor integration engineers and contribute to enterprise integration architecture initiatives.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in enterprise integration, including senior technical ownership.
- Deep expertise in IBM integration tooling (ACE, API Connect, MQ, DataPower) and event streaming (Kafka).
- Strong grasp of API design, security protocols (OAuth2, mTLS), and message-level security.
- Payments experience with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, or scheme integrations (Good to have)
- Professional Certificates.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

- 5+ years of enterprise integration experience, including senior technical ownership
- Deep expertise in IBM ACE, API Connect, MQ, and DataPower
- Expertise in event streaming with Kafka
