Expert AI/ML Data Engineer

At APTIV we shape the future of mobility: we design, develop, and validate systems to improve safety and comfort in vehicles. For our engineering center in Krakow, Poland, we are currently seeking Expert AI/ML Data Engineer to work on in-vehicle data quality checks, automation of validation drives and in-vehicle data insights for Hands Off Urban Driving solution.

This role combines data experience with hands-on data engineering skills and supports development solutions for extracting, transforming, and loading data into cloud platforms and tools.

Join us at this exciting moment in the Innovation Engineering group and take part in the design of a big data system fed and tightly interacting with Aptiv cutting-edge embedded driver assistance and user experience solutions. 

Your Role 

• Implement in-vehicle data quality checks and metrics to meet functional requirement
• Implement solutions for data triaging and automation of validation drives.
• Implement, execute and incorporate in-vehicle data insights
• Implement solutions for extracting, transforming and loading to data platforms and tools
• Adapt and develop technologies related to big data
• Implement APIs, clean and organize raw and processed data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and domain experts
• Implement data pipelines and data processing tools to meet the needs of our data science and analytics initiatives

Your Background 

• MSc degree in Data Science, Robotics, Computer Science or Related
• Proficiency in applying data analytics, algorithm design, and machine learning
• Proficiency in software development using Python
• Experience in C++ or Rust, scripting and query languages (e.g., bash, SQL)
• Hands on experience in preparing data for AI/ML model development
• Knowledge of statistics and data science essentials
• Very good problem solving and debugging skills
• Good command in spoken and written English 

Any of the following will be highly beneficial:  

·       Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and Docker / Containers / Kubernetes

·       Experience with embedded or edge AI systems.

·       Familiarity with ADAS, autonomous driving, or automotive datasets

·       Experience with Git, CI/CD

·       Exposure to automotive standards, safety, or validation workflows (e.g., ISO 26262 awareness)
