Description:

R+L Carriers is seeking an Expedite Shipment Coordinator to work at our Ypsilanti location. Primary duties include supporting the guarantee of expedited service of shipments. This will be achieved through effective communication with local operations, prompt response to customer needs, and attention to detail.

Candidate must work independently, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service. 

Desired Qualifications:

• Accustomed to independent work with the ability to prioritize tasks while remaining organized
• Consistently complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort in operating multiple computer applications 
• Demonstrate professional etiquette through verbal and written communications

Responsibilities

• Accurately generate and review shipping documents
• Proactively resolve freight service delays
• Provide complete and accurate shipment status updates 
• Track live shipments and support on-time performance
• Effectively compile information and distribute through internal and external communications
• Respectfully communicate in high pressure conditions
• Responsibly conclude daily office activities 

Desired Attributes

• Two years of customer service, administrative, or freight logistics experience
• Maintain a positive presence, contributing to a successful culture
