Executive – Procurement
Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, supplier management, SAP-based purchase order processing, and customs clearance, ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials and services to support Alumex PLC’s manufacturing operations while ensuring alignment with the organization’s procurement policies and cost optimization objectives.
The main job functions of this position will include:
• Execute end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, supplier evaluation, purchase order processing, and delivery follow-up.
• Manage SAP procurement processes including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
• Handle customs clearance procedures and import/export documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable supplier base; conduct negotiations to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including production, warehouse, finance, and R&D teams to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and initiate corrective actions where required.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approval authorities, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives through market analysis and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics service providers to ensure efficient inbound supply chain management.
The suitable candidate should possess:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP procurement processes.
• Demonstrated experience in customs clearance and handling import/export documentation.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation, and vendor development skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external service providers.
• A professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
