Key Responsibilities: 

  • Participate in Quick Change Over (QCO) activities throughout the knitting process/ floor in order to improve machine availability/up-time by leading the team members and providing technical support/guidance to them.
  • Conduct internal projects via KAIZAN, provide guidance and technical support to the team to implement the projects and motivate the team members to realize/implement these projects in order to improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Calculate the Knitting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on a weekly/monthly basis, analyse the deviations/trends and take necessary action in order to enhance the productivity/ improve OEE.
  • Manage/control the mechanical tools needed for the knitting operation, make timely replenishment and control consumption of tools so as to control expenditure whilst ensuring that all tools are available for the smooth running of the knitting/ancillary process.
  • Attend to the mechanical/electrical issues of the machines and coordinate with the engineering team/machine suppliers in order to ensure that the issues are addressed in an effective and timely manner. 
  • Manage/control machine spare parts, ensure timely purchasing of the required spares, suggest modifications as feasible and ensure all spare part requirements are met in order to avoid breakdown/idle time of machines due to unavailability of spares.
  • Follow up/monitor production output across shifts and ensure that quality related issues are promptly addressed in order to meet targets for quality and on-time delivery.
  • Guide/follow up the work of the quality circles in the department, ensure that projects are relevant and assist in the evaluation process in order to ensure that quality circle initiatives are completed, targets are achieved, and initiatives are sustainable.
  • Attend the regular planning meeting, adhere to planning priorities and suggest mechanisms in order to minimize design change-overs/alterations.
  • As a member of the BIQ team, actively participate at all meetings and carry out the BIQ tasks assigned and cascade the best practices of BIQ throughout the department.
  • Process Improvement, Quality Enhancement and Operational Excellence / Data analysis & visualizing

Knowledge and Skills:

  • B.Sc in Textile Engineering.
  • 1-2 Years Experience
  • Knowledge of Warp‐knitting, Dyeing, finishing and overall.
  • Fabric knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Advanced Excel & power BI knowledge.
  • Practical Application of Textile Knowledge and Technical 
  • Expertise for Effective Day‐to‐Day Problem Solving, 

Skills Required

  • B.Sc. in Textile Engineering
  • 1–2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of warp knitting, dyeing, and finishing
  • Fabric knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI knowledge
  • Practical application of textile knowledge and technical expertise for day-to-day problem solving
