Executive Director-The Herrick House

The Executive Director serves as the Residence Manager and is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, regulatory compliance, financial performance, census, staffing, resident services, safety, and daily operations of The Herrick House. The Executive Director ensures compliance with requirements of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE) and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
The Executive Director provides leadership to department directors and staff while promoting resident dignity, independence, choice, safety, quality of life, and The Herrick House mission and philosophy.

Job Description:

  Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of The Herrick House.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE) requirements, and other applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Maintain readiness for certification reviews, inspections, and other regulatory activities.
• Ensure required policies, procedures, operating plans, records, reports, and regulatory documentation are current and maintained.
• Oversee department directors and ensure appropriate staffing, supervision, training, competency, and staff development.
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, customer service, and resident satisfaction.
• Lead sales and marketing efforts to support occupancy and census goals.
• Monitor occupancy, labor, expenses, service quality, and other key performance indicators and adjust resources as appropriate.
• Oversee prospective resident assessments, apartment readiness, admissions, and move-ins.
• Develop, implement, and monitor operating and capital budgets and financial performance targets.
• Ensure resident assessments, Service Plans, services, and required documentation are completed and maintained by appropriate staff.
• Promote and protect resident rights, dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and safety.
• Respond promptly and professionally to concerns from residents, families, staff, and prospective residents.
• Monitor resident and family satisfaction and use feedback and performance data to support Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain oversight of emergency preparedness, fire and life safety, emergency equipment, evacuation procedures, and applicable CPR/AED staffing requirements.
• Ensure appropriate oversight of infection prevention and communicable disease practices.
• Ensure medication management programs, including SAMM and LMA, comply with applicable requirements.
• Ensure Basic Health Services, when provided, meet applicable requirements with appropriate clinical oversight.

Pay Range:

$149,989.00 USD - $215,010.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
