Executive Business Partner - CFO
We are seeking an exceptional Executive Business Partner to serve as a trusted strategic partner to Asurion's Chief Financial Officer. This high-visibility, high-trust role sits at the center of the executive's world - managing information flow, stakeholder relationships, the finance operating rhythm, board and investor operations, and organizational complexity with precision, judgment, and unwavering discretion. The ideal candidate has supported senior executives at the highest levels of corporate leadership - ideally CFOs or other C-suite finance leaders - and operates as a force multiplier, enabling the CFO to focus on the most consequential priorities of the business. This role supports both the professional and personal priorities of the CFO with equal care and maximum discretion; candidates should anticipate approximately 60% professional / 40% personal in time allocation.
Responsibilities
· Strategic Calendar Management. Manage and optimize the CFO's complex calendar with independent judgment on prioritization, access, and time allocation; protect focus time for highest-impact work; maintain an integrated professional/personal view 30–90 days in advance.
· Executive Briefing & Preparation. Prepare or organize comprehensive pre-meeting briefings - attendee backgrounds, organizational context, talking points, and sensitivities - so the CFO enters every engagement fully prepared.
· Board & Audit Committee Support. Partner on the CFO's board and Audit Committee preparation: materials timelines, pre-read coordination, board portal management, director communications, committee scheduling, and coordination with the Corporate EA team, Legal, and the Corporate Secretary.
· Investor, Lender & External Relations. Coordinate the CFO's engagements with investors, lenders, rating agencies, external auditors, and banking partners - including quarterly updates, investor and lender meetings, and external conferences; serve as the logistics and communications anchor for all high-profile external engagements.
· Stakeholder & Gatekeeper Management. Manage access to the CFO, facilitate communications on the CFO's behalf, and build trusted relationships with board members, investors, lenders, auditors, senior leadership, the finance leadership team, and external partners.
· Travel & Logistics. Coordinate comprehensive domestic and international travel - itineraries, transportation, accommodations, and visa requirements - with proactive contingency planning.
· Meeting Support & Project Tracking. Develop agendas, prepare materials, capture notes, and rigorously follow through on action items and strategic deadlines; hold stakeholders accountable on the CFO's behalf.
· Finance Operating Rhythm. Drive the CFO's operating cadence - monthly and quarterly close, budgeting and forecasting cycles, finance leadership team meetings, and business reviews - tracking deliverables and deadlines across the finance organization.
· Crisis & Contingency Management. Serve as a calm first responder when high-stakes situations arise - travel disruptions, urgent schedule reconstruction, sensitive communications - protecting the CFO's time and agenda.
· AI & Technology Proficiency. Leverage AI tools, modern collaboration platforms (Slack, Zoom, Notion), and emerging productivity technologies; genuine comfort with AI-powered tools and proactive curiosity about how to apply them is essential.
· Financial & Administrative Oversight. Own executive office budget management, T&E reconciliation, expense reporting, vendor relationships, and invoice processing with accuracy and timeliness.
· Confidentiality & Discretion. Serve as an absolute steward of the most sensitive organizational, personnel, legal, financial (including pre-release financial results and forecasts), and strategic information - confidentiality is non-negotiable and unconditional.
Ideal Experience
· Education. Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree or executive education a plus.
· C-Suite Finance Pedigree. 10+ years of executive-level support; strong preference for candidates who have directly supported a Fortune 500 CFO or other C-suite executive at a large, complex organization.
· Board & Finance Calendar Familiarity. Experience with board portal platforms (Diligent, Boardvantage, or equivalent), director communications, Audit Committee cycles, and the finance calendar (close, forecasting, budgeting, and audit) strongly preferred.
· Communications Excellence. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including demonstrated experience drafting executive-level content in a senior leader's voice.
· AI & Technology Fluency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern platforms (Slack, Zoom, Notion); demonstrated comfort with AI productivity tools and an openness to adopting emerging technologies.
· Strategic Judgment & Influence. Proven ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and operate with credibility across all organizational levels - including board members, investors, lenders, auditors, and C-suite peers - without formal authority.
· Business & Financial Acumen. Genuine curiosity about Asurion's business, financial performance, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape; working fluency with finance terminology and processes; ability to connect the CFO's priorities to the broader strategic agenda.
· Composure & Discretion. A calm, composed presence that manages ambiguity and shifting priorities with grace; an unwavering commitment to confidentiality and the highest ethical standard.
