We are seeking an experienced Exchange Control Manager to oversee all foreign currency inflows and outflows, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting commercial growth. This role is critical in maintaining the organisation’s authorised dealer status and safeguarding its reputation.

The Role PurposeTo manage exchange control compliance, mitigate foreign currency risk, and ensure all cross-border transactions are conducted in strict accordance with regulatory frameworks.
What You Will OwnRegulatory Compliance & GovernanceEnsure full compliance with exchange control regulations and central bank directives
Oversee foreign currency transactions, international payments and investments
Develop and maintain internal exchange control policies and procedures
Monitor and mitigate regulatory and operational risks
Act as primary contact with regulatory authorities
Manage inspections, audits and reporting submissions
Escalate and manage regulatory findings and remediation plans
Approve foreign exchange applications in line with policy
Ensure accurate and timely exchange control returns
Oversee daily exchange control operations and transaction reviews
Provide expert guidance on cross-border transactions
Identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions
Provide advisory support on regulatory implications of business initiatives
Ensure controls are robust and sustainable
Lead and develop the Exchange Control team
Provide executive-level reporting and insights
Support business growth while balancing regulatory obligations
Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or related field
5–10+ years’ experience in exchange control or international banking
Strong knowledge of local exchange control regulations
Experience engaging directly with regulators
Strong analytical, numerical and risk management skills
High integrity and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a regulated environment
