Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is looking for an Event Manager to join the Catering and Events Team!
This luxurious oceanfront retreat offers a world of style, service and connection with globally inspired architecture and design. The hotel has 290 rooms with an expansive pool terrace with private cabanas, a 6th floor fitness center, a tranquil boutique Spa, over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 5 food and beverage outlets. This includes a restaurant, pool side grill, cocktail lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.
This role will focus primarily on corporate group and sports event management.
The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) year of hospitality related experience at manager level. It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
- Relevant degree, in business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution (CMP, CPCE)

- Create exceptional experiences: Design creative menus and catered events that maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
- Grow catering and events market segments: Solicit new client relationships, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts to close new business
- Cultivate client relationships: Maintain strong connections with existing corporate and social accounts to secure repeat business
- Guide team performance: Communicate client requirements, provide direction, and offer feedback and coaching to ensure consistent, high-level service

- At least one year of hospitality-related experience at the manager level
