Reporting to the ESIS National Sales Leader, the ESIS Regional Vice President, Sales leads regional sales strategies for bundled/unbundled opportunities in assigned territory(ies). The RVP is responsible for building relationships with brokers, prospective clients, engaging key decision-makers, and generating profitable new business within the regions assigned. This role participates in the ESIS sales compensation incentive plan and offers significant earning potential.
Note: This hybrid position requires three days in the office and two days working from home when not traveling.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Leads the development and execution of the sales and distribution strategy for ESIS products, services, and solutions across the assigned market, territory, or segment, with accountability for achieving profitable growth objectives.
- Owns senior-level relationships with key insurance brokers, consultants, and strategic clients, establishing ESIS as a preferred Third Party Administrator partner in the market
- Builds and maintains relationships with prospective clients and leads.
Identifies emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and clients need to inform sales strategy, solution positioning, and growth initiatives.
Builds, manages, and maintains a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to support near-term production goals and long-term revenue growth.
Serves as the sales lead for complex pursuits, including large-market opportunities, finalist presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions.
Partners cross-functionally with operations, claims, finance, legal, product, and implementation teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements and support profitability, service excellence, and long-term retention.
Provides leadership and oversight for the RFP, proposal, and finalist process, ensuring timely, strategic, and competitive responses aligned to client needs and ESIS capabilities.
Develops executive-level sales strategies and account plans for priority brokers, prospects, and clients, including opportunity mapping, relationship strategy, and revenue forecasting.
Works closely with implementation and service leadership to support a seamless transition from sale through onboarding, promoting strong client adoption and long-term account success.
Negotiates commercial terms, service expectations, and contractual provisions for new business opportunities in alignment with profitability goals, risk parameters, and enterprise standards.
Collaborates with senior leadership to shape market strategy, refine value proposition messaging, and enhance ESIS’s competitive position in the marketplace.
Monitors sales performance, pipeline activity, market trends, and broker intelligence to provide leadership with actionable insights and accurate forecasts.
May lead, mentor, and develop sales talent, while promoting sales discipline, collaboration, and execution excellence across the team.
Represents ESIS in the marketplace through broker meetings, industry events, client forums, and executive-level presentations to strengthen brand visibility and market presence.
Ensures all sales activities are conducted in accordance with company authority, legal requirements, compliance standards, and governance expectations.
Meets or exceeds annual new business, revenue, and strategic growth goals.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, risk management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10+ years of sales, business development, or distribution leadership experience within insurance, risk management, claims, or TPA services.
Demonstrated success leading complex, consultative sales strategies and delivering profitable growth in highly competitive markets.
Strong relationships within the broker and consultant community, with proven ability to develop and influence distribution partners.
Deep understanding of claims administration, risk management, managed care, and/or Third Party Administrator service models.
Proven ability to lead large, sophisticated RFPs, finalist presentations, and contract negotiations.
Executive presence with strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills across client, broker, and senior leadership audiences.
Strong strategic, financial, and commercial acumen, including pricing, profitability, forecasting, and pipeline management.
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across operations, finance, legal, compliance, and service teams to deliver client-centered solutions.
Prior experience leading, mentoring, or developing sales professionals preferred.
Strong analytical capabilities, including use of data to drive decision-making, opportunity prioritization, and performance management.
Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce and proficiency with Excel and sales reporting tools.
Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support market development, broker engagement, and client strategy.
The base salary range for the role is $185,000-205,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
