About the Role
We are looking for a Data Migration Factory Application Lead for D365 F&O data migration, utilizing Alteryx and Microsoft Fabric to develop and automate ETL processes for data migration, validation, and reconciliation. The candidate should have strong process and hands-on experience in data migrations to D365 F&O using Alteryx, SQL, Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, PySpark notebooks, Lakehouse concepts and ETL/ELT processing.
The role involves leading process and technical elements of the Data Migration Factory application in ERP rollouts.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage Data Migration Factory Application processes and capabilities
Contribute to governance along with the platform team
Develop, build and optimize ETL workflows using Alteryx for data extraction, transformation, validation, and migration
Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines and data ingestion solutions
Execute D365 F&O data migration activities, including master and transactional data migration
Develop data transformation logic using SQL, PySpark, Fabric Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2
Build and support Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) implementations
Perform data profiling, cleansing, standardization, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks
Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and performance optimization for data pipelines
Collaborate with business and technical teams on data mapping, business rules, and migration requirements
Support migration testing, cutover activities, post-load validation, and production deployment
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment runbooks
We are looking for:
5+ years of experience in data migrations using Alteryx, SQL, Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, PySpark notebooks, Lakehouse and ETL/ELT processing
Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer for data preparation, transformation, and workflow automation.
Experience migrating or modernizing Alteryx workflows using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
Proficiency in SQL for data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake, and Delta Tables.
Working knowledge of PySpark, Fabric Notebooks, and Spark-based data processing.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Experience in data quality, validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and error handling.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have:
Experience with Power BI, semantic models or dashboard data preparation
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or any version control tool
Exposure to ERP data migration, master data migration or legacy system modernization projects
Understanding of API-based data integration and REST API ingestion patterns
Knowledge of performance tuning for SQL queries, PySpark jobs and data pipelines
Understanding of data governance, security, privacy and access control concepts
