About your team
The Performance Analytics group provides performance information and portfolio analysis for Fidelity International Limited (FIL) worldwide. The team is global and operates in Dublin, Dalian, London, Tokyo, Gurgaon and Hong Kong. The group comprises three teams who all interact closely and work together to provide clients both internal and external with analysis on Fidelity products and mandates:
- The Performance Attribution & Risk reporting teams provides attribution and risk analytics such as quarterly fund reports, investment risk oversight pack, liquidity reporting and support to our investment teams.
- The Performance Operation & Oversight team is responsible for ensuring the quality of our data, management of our systems, GIPS©, regulatory performance & risk and providing key senior management metrics.
- The Performance Measurement team supply performance and ex-post to all of our clients
About your role
The equity attribution Specialist will assist in the delivery of attribution and quarterly investment reports. The team will be focused on the production of quarterly fund reports, investment risk oversight pack, fund characteristics reports and providing risk analysis on our equity products. The team will manage many stakeholders in both the investment and distribution business.
Principle duties:
- Reconcile official performance, risk, and attribution data.
- Preparation of investment reports.
- Working with the Investment teams to understand the drivers of performance
- Provision of performance attribution analysis for all equity funds managed by FIL
- Lead on internal strategic initiatives and process improvements; work with regional partners to ensure a common approach
- Investigation and resolution of complex queries and client queries in a timely manner.
- Develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external customers
- Close working relationship with middle office and tech to ensure data quality and report suitability
- Involvement in projects and systems testing as required
- Production of quarterly fund review packs and investment risk reports
- Responding to a significant volume of ad-hoc queries and requests
- Taking ownership for specific tasks
- Flexible, being able to adapt and support the changing needs of a global team
Your skills and experience
- Degree level in Finance, Maths, Statistics, Economics, Accounting.
- Competency in Python and SQL
- System knowledge such as MSCI Barra preferred.
- Experience within a performance team (measurement and/or attribution) preferred.
- Good knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investment management.
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn new skills and continue self-development
- Strong numerical and statistical skills.
- Self-motivated and responsive to a changing environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Team contributor.
