A Day in the Life of an Equipment Sales PRO

As an Equipment Sales PRO, most of your time is spent where it matters most—with customers.

Your day may include visiting commercial businesses, contractors, municipalities, schools, or government agencies, learning about their equipment needs, recommending equipment solutions, demonstrating equipment, discussing financing options, or identifying opportunities to support their operation.

You'll stay closely connected to your assigned accounts while partnering internally with Parts, Service, Sales Leadership, and other departments to ensure LandPro delivers a best-in-class customer experience.

This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, developing new business, and helping customers find the right equipment for the job.

Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: grow relationships, solve problems, and take care of the customer.

What You’ll Do

As an Equipment Sales PRO, you will:

  • manage and grow relationships with commercial businesses, contractors, municipalities, schools, and government customers
  • sell new and used commercial mowing, compact construction, and other equipment solutions
  • prospect for new business while growing existing customer accounts
  • understand each customer's operation and recommend equipment that meets their needs
  • conduct on-site customer visits, equipment demonstrations, and product presentations
  • maintain current knowledge of equipment, financing programs, warranties, and available sales programs
  • coordinate with Parts, Service, and Sales Leadership to provide outstanding customer support
  • maintain accurate customer activity, quotes, and sales opportunities within CRM systems
  • follow a defined sales process from prospecting through delivery
  • monitor local market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
  • participate in trade shows, customer events, and dealership promotions

What You Need to be a LandPro Equipment Sales PRO:

  • sales, customer service, account management, or business development experience
  • ability to travel to customer locations on a daily basis
  • strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • comfort using Microsoft Office, internet tools, and CRM/software systems
  • flexibility to work hours that support customer and business needs
  • valid driver’s license with clean driving record

It’s a Plus if You Have:

  • equipment sales experience
  • experience working with commercial businesses, contractors, municipalities, schools, and government agencies
  • knowledge of John Deere or competitive equipment products
  • associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, agriculture, construction or related field
  • experience with financing, trade-ins, or consultative selling
