Environmental Engineering Intern - Summer 2026Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Role:
The Environmental Engineering Intern will gain exposure and experience in the principles, methods and techniques of engineering concerned with facilities and systems for controlling pollution and protecting quality of resources and the environment. In this role, you will also build on regulatory knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing oversight and ensuring regulatory compliance of applicable requirements.
- Access, research, interpret, and effectively communicate environmental regulations and requirements.
- Assist in site inspections, audits, and training for company sites.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and testing of plans to minimize environmental risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Environmental Engineering, Science, or other technical fields of study.
Experience:
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Analytical ability to solve complex problems.
