Maintain general ledger and subledgers for multiple entities, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports for month- and year-end close. Review statements, research accounts, assist audits, process daily banking, recommend process improvements and automate reconciliations, and respond to accounting inquiries while meeting reporting deadlines.

Position: Full-time
Duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining general ledger for multiple companies accurately and timely for month end and year end closing processes.
- Review financial statements, research accounts, and analyze financial records.
- Responsible for developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts for monthly and yearly closing processes.
- To include but not limited to third party statements, internal & external software, and reports.
- Assist with year end financial audits by compiling necessary financial information for CPA firm and responsible for handling gall tax requirements.
- Analyze current accounting policies and procedures and recommend changes.
- To include automation of reconciliations where possible for continual process improvements.
- Responds to information requests, researches, and interprets data to include answering accounting and financial questions.
- Ability to meet processing and reporting deadlines as required for timely dissemination of defined reports in coordination with Controller.
- Responsible for Daily banking transactions and associated entries
- Fluent with Microsoft Dynamics GP, BNA, TMW, TMT, Microsoft Office Suite and all other company mandated equipment & software.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting
- 0-4 years in experience in general ledger accounting working with multiply company entities.
- 0-4 years in subledger transactions
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, seek unknowns, and find solutions.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, etc.
- Business acumen, organizational skills, communication proficiency, collaboration skills, customer focus and technical capacity
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to companies drug free workplace policies.
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit and walk short distances.
- Vision abilities; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Must be able to read, write, talk, and hear.
Skills Required
- Associate degree in accounting
- 0-4 years experience in general ledger accounting working with multiple company entities
- 0-4 years experience in subledger transactions
