About the Team:
You will be joining a high-impact team responsible for driving a portion of People Inc.’s financial insights. We bridge the gap between raw data and business strategy by managing complex revenue streams and ensuring our reporting is both accurate and timely. Our team is dedicated to precision, constant improvement, and providing the business with the data-driven "source of truth" needed to make critical decisions.
About the Role:
As a Data Analysis & Revenue Operations Apprentice, you will be the engine behind our revenue reporting. You will gain hands-on experience in the full data lifecycle—from ingesting data from multiple sources to cleansing and connecting it for advanced analysis. You’ll play a key role in supporting business teams who track Year-Over-Year (YOY), Week-Over-Week (WOW), and Day-Over-Day (DOD) performance across various revenue streams and specific events. You will work closely with SQL, AWS (Snowflake) and Excel to guide the development team in creating data tables that power our Sigma reporting dashboards, while developing critical data governance skills by ensuring data integrity from system to system.
Apprentice Responsibilities will Include:
Data Ingestion & Integration: Assist in pulling data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring all datasets are correctly mapped and connected to provide a holistic view of revenue performance.
Reporting Support: Develop the requirements for backend data tables that feed into the Sigma reporting tool, test the results and release the data to enable the business to compare YOY, WOW, and DOD revenue metrics.
Data Quality & Governance: Develop and implement validation checks to compare data between systems, identifying discrepancies and performing data cleansing to ensure high-quality reporting.
Event Tracking: Provide dedicated data support for specific high-priority events, ensuring all event-related revenue is captured and reported accurately.
Process Documentation: Help document data workflows and governance standards to ensure the team’s data processes are scalable and transparent.
About You:
Candidates for this role should have:
Technical Foundations: Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, basic querying).
Analytical Mindset: A strong interest in data analysis, financial reporting, and "connecting the dots" between different data points.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Open to new challenges and excited to grow within a fast-paced, expanding, and constantly evolving organization
Creative and driven self-starter that can take direction and run with it, asking questions up front to ensure you’re able to complete the task successfully and who is excited to learn new tools (like Sigma).
Motivated problem solver who will proactively troubleshoot and create solution
Experience with Google & Microsoft Suites
Some experience with digital media is a plus but not required
