At Mars Snacking, we are on an ambitious journey to rewire and almost double the size of our business by 2030. We see digital and data as an increasing multiplier of value across not just Mars Wrigley, but also the Health and Wellness and Retail global business units of Mars Snacking.

With this in mind, we recently established the Chief Data Office (CDO) Organization to define and execute the end-to-end enterprise data strategy inclusive of data and platform governance associated with AI for the company. In collaboration with our various Global Process Experience Owners (GXOs), Regional Champions and CIOs, Functional Business and Digital Technology Leaders, and Global Business Services teams, we will establish robust data quality practices, effective operating models, evolve data in conjunction with AI literacy, and implement durable technology capabilities to govern our data as an asset from end to end. The CDO organization will serve as an accelerator to our Mars Snacking’s next generation of data-led AI journey.

The Enterprise Data Transformation PMO Leader is part of the leadership team of the Chief Data Office Organization within Mars Snacking. In this leadership role, the leader will be responsible for supporting the CDO organization in managing portfolio of projects and programs to ensure they are committed to the agreed timelines, budgets, value targets, and organization’s objectives and key results.

This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and technical expertise to oversee the successful delivery of data initiatives across Mars Snacking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Program Management Leadership
    • Establish Program Management Office (PMO) for the CDO organization and guide the effectivity, efficiency, and scale of enterprise data transformation program delivery.
    • Manage team of OCDO program managers to facilitate the execution of the enterprise data and AI strategy across all data initiatives within Mars Snacking.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Oversee the data transformation portfolio, ensuring all programs align with the strategic vision and business objectives.
    • Prioritize projects and initiatives within the portfolio, balancing resource allocation, budget, and timelines.
  • Program Management
    • Ensure that program milestones are met, and deliverables are achieved within the specified timelines.
    • Support the planning, execution, and delivery of programs in:
      1.Enterprise Data & AI Architecture & Engineering
      2. D30 Mega Process Data and AI Stewardship and Delivery 3. Enterprise Data Science & AI Ops Delivery
      4. Enterprise Data & AI Governance & Quality
      5. SAP Data Transformation
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the primary point of contact for PMO for the OCDO
    • Communicate program status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving
    • Identify potential risks to program timelines and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Address challenges and obstacles to program success, provide timely escalation, applying problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business analytics or related major with equivalent business experience. MBA/master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven 10+ years of experience in program management of large-scale enterprise data and analytics delivery within a business transformation program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in program and portfolio management, particularly in data and analytics transformation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data science, AI, data governance, and quality concepts
  • Experience engaging with technical and non-technical audiences to understand their priorities and/or impediments.
  • Experience working in the Consumer Products & Goods industry.
  • Experience working at Big 4 or MBB consulting firms is a plus.
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and business savvy.
  • Strategic mindset, tech savvy, and results oriented.
