Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Enterprise Architect who will utilize their knowledge and experience to support a federal customer in defining, managing, and updating an enterprise technology roadmap and creating engineering guidance for the implementation of roadmap technologies to address evolving mission requirements and security policy. This will include design and documentation of new architectures, perform technical analysis, develop working prototypes, and recommend implementation best practice through detailed engineering guidance. The ideal candidate brings historical experience designing on-premises services for a large enterprise, current ability to review and implement technical designs, and experience supporting adoption and migration to a government public cloud. The ability to translate business requirements, policy, and their own investigative insights into actionable architectural, the ability to clearly communicate through executive briefings to C-Suite, and the ability to create detailed standards based technical implementation guidance to engineering teams is key to the candidates success in this role.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience translating business requirements into an actionable technology roadmap using a standard documenting framework such as DODAF or TOGAF.
- 5 years of experience with the creation of technical implementation guidance that provides the architecture and configuration framework for engineering implementation and integration.
- 5 years of experience with the following at a large enterprise (500+ users) and across multiple data centers:
- Service Design to include requirements identification, identification of Courses of Action (CoAs), market evaluation and assessment of technologies and products through a quantitative process, and design and integration into the production environment.
- Designing and operating a highly available workload hosting and data architectures across multiple data centers in support of an organization’s DR and COOP requirements.
- Creating technical specifications and defining enterprise standards to ensure compatibility between services, applications, and tools.
- Support of the Microsoft suite of Enterprise services (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, file shares).
- Design and support of VMware based virtual hosting environments.
- Frameworks for managing data center assets and power budgets.
- 5 years of experience with monitoring vendor roadmaps, evaluating products through a unbiased quantitative analysis based assessments, and defining an enterprise roadmap using best of breed that considers a multi-vendor approach.
- 3 years of experience with enterprise change control and Federal Risk Management Framework (RMF) where you have led the change from design creation to ATO.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience with strategies for migrating to and operating services in a public government cloud (i.e. AWS, Azure, Google), while retaining on-premises capabilities (Hybrid Cloud).
- Zero Trust implementation for federal at target or advanced level.
- Experience implementing automated identity governance and/or implementing a Federal Enterprise ICAM capability.
- Experience with implementing RBAC or ABAC policies and access controls to enterprise resources.
- Experience with data engineer to include data discovery, cataloging, labeling, and access control requirements to address organizational data policies.
- Experience with CI/CD DevSecOps, from building pipeline tools to production deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication:
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and C-Suite level customer leadership.
- Experience in project and task management using the Agile framework.
- Able to engage with users in a professional manner and present technical concepts plainly to semi-technical customers.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. - Experience implementing federal Zero Trust capabilities at target or advanced maturity levels
- Experience implementing automated identity governance or Federal Enterprise ICAM capabilities
- Experience implementing RBAC or ABAC policies and enterprise resource access controls
- Experience with data engineering, including data discovery, cataloging, labeling, and access controls
- Experience with CI/CD DevSecOps from pipeline development through production deployment
