To provide Quality Assurance and Configuration / Development expertise on the D365 suite and Power Platform with focus on enhancing the performance, efficiency and capability of the Control Risks business.

This is a hands-on role, and the holder will equally provide Quality Assurance of the D365 suite and Power Platform as well as assist in the configuration and enhancements to Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform solutions.

The role requires strong communication to non-technical audience and the holder needs to be able to work at a strategic level as well as have hands on tactical and operational skills to define work and trouble shoot / resolve issues in an effective way.

Role tasks and Responsibilities

  • Define and implement end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) strategy, frameworks, and standards for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
  • Work closely with Solution Architect(s), Delivery Manager(s), SMEs and the business to ensure quality is embedded across all project phases
  • Work closely with third parties/vendors where applicable to ensure that their solutions meet the QA processes and standards
  • Develop and manage test plans, test cases, scripts, and execution cycles (functional, integration, regression, UAT)
  • Establish and govern test environments, data management, and test automation frameworks
  • Lead functional and non-functional testing, including performance, security, and data validation
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes
  • Drive defect management lifecycle, including triage, prioritisation, and resolution tracking
  • Ensure quality validation of integrations (e.g., Dual Write, APIs, third-party systems)
  • Support release management and CAB processes, ensuring QA sign-off for deployments
  • Lead regression testing cycles during platform upgrades and releases
  • Establish and promote test automation practices where applicable
  • Work with business SMEs to build and maintain a knowledge base and QA best practices repository
  • Ensure adherence to Microsoft Dynamics best practices and enterprise QA standards
  • Support audit, compliance, and evidence requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tooling, and delivery efficiency
  • Explore the functionality of AI tools including Co Pilot, use cases within Control Risks and advise on the approach and implementation – for QA processes in particular
  • Work closely with the EA Solution Architect and EA Delivery Manager to design and deliver the D365 CE and Power Platform initiatives. The D365 CE solution focusses on Sales, Customer Service and Omni channelWork with the Business Teams to understand opportunities / requirements, develop user stories in DevOps (or ITSM) and define product backlog
  • Maximise the use of D365 CE partnerships and take a configuration first approach within the system vs overly customised. Striving for a vanilla solution wherever possible
  • Develop and deliver the configuration/customisation/integration/enhancements to the solutions as necessary
  • Prepare and represent D365 CE & Power Platform changes at CAB
  • Work with other teams on ad hoc projects as a QA/SME utilisation resource from the Enterprise Apps team to complete project tasks on time and within budget
  • Provide Go-live/ Hypercare support where relevant

Requirements

Knowledge and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in ERP/CRM Quality Assurance processes, including where integrations/extensions/customisations are involved
  • 3+ years of experience configuring and implementing Dynamics 365 CE, including technical development skills (customisation, extension and integration)
  • 2+ years of development and extensions using the Power Platform: Canvas driven Apps, Model driven Apps, Flow, Power Virtual Agent, Dataverse & Sharepoint based solutions
  • Experience working with third party vendors
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in business analysis with organisations of various size and complexity is an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Specialist Skills

  • Deep experience in Quality Assurance and Testing where ERP/CRM applications are involved
  • Must have good experience in Dynamics 365 CE
  • Good experience in creating solutions using the Power Platform
  • Reasonable grasp of new / emerging technology trends – experience of Co Pilot on the D365 suite or Power Platform will be a significant advantage
  • Any experience on D365-F&O or HR is a bonus!

Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience in ERP/CRM Quality Assurance processes, including integrations/extensions/customisations
  • 3+ years configuring and implementing Dynamics 365 CE including technical development (customisation, extension, integration)
  • 2+ years development and extensions using Power Platform (Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Automate/Flow, Power Virtual Agent, Dataverse, SharePoint solutions)
  • Deep experience in Quality Assurance and Testing for ERP/CRM applications
  • Experience working with third-party vendors
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in business analysis (advantage)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Co-Pilot on D365 or Power Platform (significant advantage)
