ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Interface & Collaboration
The team you will represent is pivotal in acting as the senior solution architect (or technical presales) and product specialists to close deals and create demand for Wind River solutions. This person holds and understands the market, project, and application of our customers, and promotes the adoption of Wind River products and services in Intelligent edge systems, such as Industrial, Aerospace & Defense systems.
You will be an integral part of the Solution Architect Organization in APJ and focus on India Embedded & Enterprise business, cover Industrial, Aerospace and Defense, IT & Networking solutions. You will collaborate with Account Managers who act as a hunter role with a focus on net new logo/business acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer’s technical needs, architecting technical solutions using Wind River and Third party products,and demonstrating them through product presentations, Discovery/Technical workshops, proof of concepts/values, and evaluations to win the technical sale.
- Serve as a single technical point of contact, become the customer's trusted advisor and the Wind River solutions expert.
- Manage all technical needs of account utilizing all available resources.
- Manage technical resources to effectively manage customer product life-cycle needs.
- Exhibit leadership skills during customer requirements analysis and creating technical solutions.
- Develop territory and regional (multi-site) technical account plans and help the Account managers to build business account plans and execute successfully.
- Listen to customer's needs, architect solutions and present value proposition.
- Manage Trade Show demos and Seminars.
- Provide consistent market feedback to Wind River.
- Remove technical barriers for Wind River solutions.
- Increase Wind River mind share with each customer.

- Embedded software development and system architecture experience (e.g., RTOS, Linux) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with safety and security standards for Industrial/Rail and Aerospace (e.g., IEC 61508, EN 50128, DO‑178) is an advantage.
- Experience with certified software and certification processes is a plus.
- Experience with system emulation technologies such as QEMU is a plus.
- Deep expertise in Enterprise Linux platforms (e.g., eLxr Pro, Wind River Linux, RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, Rocky/Alma), including architecture design, hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Strong proficiency in automation and infrastructure as code(IaC) to standardize builds, configuration, and operations.
- Ability to translate business and application requirements into end to end Linux architecture blueprints, guiding implementation and defining technical standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field is required
- Professional certifications such as RHCE, SUSE Certified Architect, or equivalent senior level Linux credentials are required.
- 8–12+ years of experience in embedded software and enterprise Linux, including hands on capability to design, build, and demonstrate solutions.
- Experience in embedded and enterprise software development with RTOS and Linux, covering both application and system level work.
- Proven experience supporting software development for embedded and enterprise system applications (e.g., debugging, optimization, integration).
- Experience in field applications engineering for embedded SoCs, evaluation boards, and Linux/RTOS/BSP products is preferred.
- Embedded and Enterprise Linux or RTOS background covering deployment, image build, and kernel/application development is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Prior experience working with overseas teams or in an international software company is a plus.
