Position Summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Splunk Engineer with strong development expertise and advanced reporting capabilities to design, develop, and support enterprise observability solutions. This role will focus on delivering complex dashboards, analytics, data visualizations, and automation solutions that provide actionable operational intelligence across infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced Splunk dashboards, reports, KPIs, data models, and custom visualizations for enterprise monitoring and observability.
  • Create complex SPL searches, correlation searches, alerts, and analytics solutions to drive operational insights.
  • Develop custom Splunk applications, technology add-ons, and integrations.
  • Administer and support large-scale Splunk Enterprise clustered environments.
  • Optimize data onboarding, indexing, search performance, and platform scalability.
  • Support and enhance Splunk ITSI and Enterprise Security (ES) implementations.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and Shell scripting.
  • Build custom Splunk visualizations using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to onboard new data sources and develop business-focused observability solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor team members and promote Splunk development and reporting best practices.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Splunk Certified Architect certification required.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and developing Splunk solutions.
  • Strong expertise in advanced dashboard development, reporting, analytics, and data visualization and administration
  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise, ITSI, Enterprise Security, and clustered environments.
  • Strong development skills in: 
    • Python
    • JavaScript
    • HTML/CSS
    • Shell Scripting
    • Ansible
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
