A day in the life:
- Architect and lead the development of our claims system, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
- Lead technical decisions and drive engineering best practices across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Business, Engineering) globally.
- Balance hands-on development with strategic leadership, optimizing for both velocity and quality.
- Partner closely with product teams to design and implement critical features.
- Shape our system architecture and technology choices to drive long-term success.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What you will need:
- 7+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in an early-stage startup environment.
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong background in software architecture and system design for scalable, cloud-based applications.
- Proficiency in Python (or similar OO programming languages).
- Expertise in databases (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and DevOps best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in global, cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset, with a drive to push for innovative solutions.
It would be great if you also have experience in:
- Leading full-stack engineering teams.
- Claims or insurance-related systems.
- AI-driven applications.
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
