Radiant Power is looking for an Engineering Software Manager to join our team.
This position is located in Sarasota, FL and is full-time, Monday – Thursday. This is not a work from home or hybrid position.
Relocation allowance may be offered for the right candidate.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications
- Lead a small team of embedded software engineers in the design, development, and testing of software for our products.
- Oversee the entire software development process, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required safety standards (DO-178C).
- Manage multiple projects with a Design Assurance Level (DAL) C or higher, including ensuring proper design reviews, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of software into our products.
- Develop and maintain the technical vision for our embedded software products, including identifying new technologies and opportunities for improvement.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and project management techniques.
- Ensure that all team members have the necessary skills and training to meet the requirements of DO-178C and other relevant industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical leads, project managers, and external partners, to ensure alignment and progress on projects.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a focus on safety-critical software (DO-178C).
- Proven track record of managing teams with similar skills and experience.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
