We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you're empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition

About the Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and lead technological transformation across our Engineering organization.

In this strategic role, you will shape how an organization of ~600 engineers operates at scale—defining the frameworks, processes, and standards that ensure high-quality execution while fostering innovation. A defining part of this role is leading the organizational shift toward AI Engineering, driving the deep adoption of Internal AI tools and agents into the daily workflows of our engineering teams.

You will lead the engineering operation end-to-end, acting as a powerful change agent. You will foster the engineering guild's operational side and partner closely with R&D leaders, product teams, and stakeholders to embed speed, quality, and autonomy across the entire organization.

What will make you successful in this role

You are genuinely passionate about AI and organizational change, actively pushing engineering teams to evolve and embrace AI-driven workflows, while navigating modern engineering dilemmas like measuring AI impact, quality vs. cost, and scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the operational strategy and hands-on adoption of Internal AI and AI agents within the engineering organization, fundamentally changing how hundreds of developers plan, execute, and deliver.

  • Set, monitor, and drive cross-organizational standardization and engineering practices, with a strong focus on Quality, Performance, and Security.

  • Lead the operational rhythm of the Engineering Guild, creating frameworks that protect engineering excellence without compromising speed.

  • Define engineering execution and health metrics, using data to tackle complex dilemmas (such as AI quality vs. infrastructure cost) and guide leadership decisions.

  • Act as a hands-on individual driver for operational changes, alignment, and process improvements across multiple engineering domains.

  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership, Product Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, clear communication, and predictable execution at scale.

Requirements:

  • A strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development, engineering concepts, R&D dynamics, and developer expectations.

  • 7+ years of experience in Engineering Operations, R&D Operations, Technical Program Management, or similar roles within modern R&D environments.

  • Hands-on experience working in or with organizations undergoing internal AI tool/agent adoption, with a solid grasp of AI metrics, KPIs, and operational challenges.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, showing a proven track record of moving fast and leading agile transformation.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and storytelling skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to turn execution data into actionable organizational insights.

  • Fluent English (written and verbal).
