About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams in Nepal. 

You will combine strong people leadership with technical understanding and delivery ownership, helping engineers grow while ensuring teams consistently deliver high-quality solutions and strong business outcomes. 

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving complex delivery challenges, and improving the way engineering teams work. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, coaching, feedback, and individual development plans. 
  • Take ownership of team performance, delivery, and outcomes. 
  • Identify risks and blockers early and drive them through to resolution. 
  • Manage priorities, dependencies, expectations, and delivery commitments with stakeholders. 
  • Support architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and engineering quality initiatives. 
  • Promote best practices across testing, code quality, documentation, CI/CD, maintainability, and security. 
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. 
  • Strengthen engineering processes and delivery capabilities as our teams continue to grow. 
  • Work closely with distributed and cross-functional teams across the organization. 
  • Help engineers develop toward broader technical and leadership responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including engineering leadership or management experience. 
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams. 
  • Strong track record of delivering successful engineering outcomes. 
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments. 
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices and the software delivery lifecycle. 
  • Experience with architecture discussions, technical risk management, and quality assurance. 
  • Strong people-management, coaching, and stakeholder-management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities. 
  • Strong ownership, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to balance technical, business, delivery, and people priorities. 
  • Experience working with distributed and cross-functional teams. 

Nice to Have 

Experience with modern data platforms and technologies such as: 

  • Databricks 
  • Apache Spark 
  • Python 
  • SQL 
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP 
  • Modern data engineering platforms and ecosystems
